Your AI. Your data. Your rules.

Stop choosing between staying competitive and staying compliant. Klai is the answer to both: private AI infrastructure, hosted in Europe, built on best-in-class open source systems.

For teams that know privacy isn't a checkbox.

Why Klai

The problem

You already know AI works. The question is whether you can trust it.

You tested AI with real client data. It worked. Then someone asked: "Where does this data actually go?"

The honest answer, for most AI tools, is: somewhere in the US. Into a system you don't control. Under terms that change every few months. For any business handling customer data, that's not just an ethical question. It's a compliance nightmare.

The answer

Compliance isn't a layer you add afterward. It's how Klai is built.

Our AI systems run on European servers. Your data never crosses a border you haven't approved. Every query logged if you need it. Nothing logged if you don't.

Your data is never trained on, never shared, never used to improve a commercial AI model. There's no separate "compliance mode" because the whole thing is built that way.

Your private AI stack

AI your team can safely use.

Chat

The AI your colleagues are already using. Just private by default.

The same AI experience you're used to, but nothing leaves your control. No data collection, no small print, no data going somewhere you haven't approved. Your compliance officer will actually like this one.

Ownership

AI built for everyone.
Owned by no one.

AI was built on decades of public research. Open papers, shared datasets, university labs, public funds. That's a foundation that belongs to us all. We think the benefits should too. Klai is built around that belief. AI infrastructure that serves the people who use it. That grows with the community that shapes it.

Legally prohibited from sale

When a tech company gets acquired, you go with it. Your data. Your contract. Your infrastructure. All of it transfers to whoever bought them. A company you never chose, under terms you never agreed to. Klai is steward-owned. It belongs to its mission. It cannot be sold, taken public, or acquired. That is written into our founding documents. What this means for you? The infrastructure you build on stays yours.

You co-own what we build

Your subscription funds the platform. That also makes it yours. And because it's yours, it belongs to everyone. Everything we build is open source. Every product we use, every line of code we write. You can read it, audit it, run it yourself. Our roadmap is public. What gets built next is shaped by the people using it.

Open by default

We publish our finances, our roadmap, and our company documentation. Because if we are building something together, everyone at the table should have the same information. That is what it means to build something together.

Why we build Klai and how we stack up.

Most vendors require an NDA before you can read their sub-processor list. Ours is public. Read it before you decide, not after you've already signed.

Built for the people who have to say yes.

For compliance managers

You've said no to every AI tool that uses personal data for two years. Not to obstruct progress. Because nobody could answer the basic question: where does this data actually go?

Klai answers that question. Data stays in the EU. Our sub-processors are minimal and public.

For IT leads

Everything Klai runs is open source. Standard components, proper documentation, a Docker setup that doesn't require a consultant to understand.

Read the source. Audit the setup. Run it on your own infrastructure if you want. Nothing is hidden behind a vendor API or locked to infrastructure you don't control.

For management

Your team is already using AI. Probably on personal accounts, because no AI tools that process confidential or personal information have been approved yet.

Klai is your answer. Your team gets the privacy-aware tools they need. Your compliance officer gets infrastructure they can actually approve.

EU data only, always  ·  DPA included, no NDA required  ·  Sub-processors public

Questions we get. Answered directly.

Because everything is open by default. Our data processing agreement is public. As is our sub-processor list. No sales call required, no NDA to sign. And all our code is open source. Your IT team can read exactly what runs where. You don't have to take our word for it. Verify it yourself.

It can't. Klai is steward-owned. That means the company belongs to its mission, not to economically focused shareholders. That restriction is written into our articles of incorporation. We legally cannot be sold to an external party. Not to Google, not to Microsoft, not to a private equity fund looking for an exit. This isn't a promise that could change next quarter. It's a structural fact.

Klai Chat is running in an afternoon. No infrastructure project, no IT tickets, no lengthy procurement. If you want the full self-hosted stack, that takes more time, but that's a deliberate choice for greater control, not the default cost of getting started.

It's yours. On cancellation, you can export your data in a standard format and anything stored on Klai's systems is deleted. It's that simple.

It never does. If you don't want shadow IT or data leaks, you have to offer a solid alternative, not another policy memo. That's exactly why we built Klai. When your team has a private, approved AI environment that works as well as what they were already using, they use the approved one. The problem stops existing.

We don't offer a free trial, but you can simply start with a monthly subscription and cancel any month if it's not working. If it is, switch to annual and pay less per seat.
